A decade ago, at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, The Woodshedders brought together the diverse influences of American Country, Rhythm & Blues, Old-Time, Bluegrass, and Gypsy Jazz. The result is an original and dynamic new sound they call Indie Roots Americana. Their debut album, Catch That Yardbird, was released to critical acclaim including “Roots Album of the Year” (Just Plain Folks) and a spot in the SoundStage! Network’s “Top 10 Albums of 2009”. Lead singer and guitarist, Dwayne Brooke is joined by upright bassist Ryan Mayo, fiddlin’ David Van Deventer, mandolinist Jared Pool, and drummer Jesse Shultzaberger.

April 2011 brings the release of their highly-anticipated sophomore album, O Dig. A ramble through the wild and wondrous backroads of Roots Americana, it is an imaginatively written and deftly performed collection of golden new original classics.
